I have been a teacher for over 11 years. I love the privilege of getting to be a positive kind caring male role model. I have taught as young as PreK and Kindergarten for several years as well as 1st Grade and I currently teach 5th Grade students with emotional and behavioral disabilities at an Alternative School. I love teaching and I have a real passion for encouraging wonder and creativity as I teach because I believe the goal is not just rote memorization but inspiring a love of learning and learning the Why behind the beauty, harmony, order, and intelligent design of the world around us. I want to help foster a sense of loving to learn in students I help work with.

I have also worked as a social worker in child welfare and adoption. I have also lived abroad in Paris for two years and I speak french ! I play guitar, piano, and sing and have been in church youth ministry for over 12 years with middle school and high school age students.
