I have over 30 years of experience working with students of all ages, teaching them reading, writing, and math. All of my students have had IEP’s (individualized education plans). My background is teaching using a multi-sensory approach. It is auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. I am certified in Wilson, but I also know many different curriculums and know Orton-Gillingham techniques which are multi-sensory ways to instruct. My students have had tremendous success in learning to read and write. I am certified to teach elementary grades in Illinois. I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood education (birth through third grade). I have a masters degree in Special Education and ESL.

I love to write children’s picture books, poetry and songs.
I conquered my fear of heights by taking a helicopter over the Grand Canyon. It started out achieving small baby steps and then the big goal was achieved.
My motto: Everyone is capable with the right support.
