I am currently a 4th-grade classroom teacher looking for a job outside of the classroom. I have been an educator for over 15 years, working in the public school setting for the last six. Prior to working in public schools, I homeschooled my own three children for over ten years.

My teaching philosophy is simple. I desire to tap into the wealth of knowledge that each student already possesses and build upon it, taking into consideration each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and unique learning styles. An effective teacher develops a rapport with students in order to motivate them to be active, engaged, life-long learners. I believe teaching is a learning process in and of itself and I have a passion for learning and growing in all areas of my life.

Living and raising a family in three different countries has given me unique life experiences and helped me develop exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. My experience as a teacher has made me proficient at planning for long-term goals while maintaining the flexibility to adjust to immediate and changing needs. I am driven and self-motivated with a strong belief that success in anything requires a love of learning and a growth mindset. I work well independently but also recognize the value of collaboration and teamwork.
