I have been homeschooling my two daughters for 7 years. I also teach art/art history and anatomy and physiology at our weekly co-op.
In 2023, my family and I moved from Knoxville to a small hobby farm in Sweetwater. Before I had children, I was in sales for 14 years where I built a 3 million dollar organization. Before that I taught in the public school system in Chattanooga, TN and then in Portsmouth, Virginia where I earned the prestigious award of Teacher of the Year. I was dual-certified in both general education and special education through Tennessee Tech in 2002.
Our home was a licensed foster home where we served two sets of siblings as a permanent placement over the course of 5 years. We also served several individual children for temporary placement in between the two long-term placements.
I am organized, driven, loyal, reliable, and fun.
My dream job would allow me to help homeschool another family along-side my two girls so that we can build a community together.
