Hiring Team Manager

Dear Hiring Manager,

My name is Veronica Allen. I am a Fourth Grade teacher with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and am currently certified to teach in the State of Oklahoma. I would be a great fit for this role due to my ability to adapt to new situations, love of learning new skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

In my first teaching role at Holy Family Classical School I had the unique opportunity to help transition a school into a fully classical school. During this time I mentored new teachers, created a first grade program, and obtained a classical and a religious education certification. The process of creating the first grade program included developing my own pedagogy that bridged two pedagogical principals (Montessori and Classical), picking and implementing curriculum changes, and designing an environment that facilitated these changes.

During my time at St. Catherine's I had the opportunity to take my skills in leadership and singing and create and implement, with my fellow teacher, a Youth Choir program. Instructing students on the mechanics of music and how to sing together. I also coached an elementary soccer team every spring and fall.

At Monte Cassino I have the opportunity to work and learn on a team. It has been exciting to grow in collaborative skills. I enjoy working with others and brainstorming new ways to teach and present lessons.

In addition to these roles I have helped to develop and lead a women's group, creating opportunities for community for young women in Tulsa. I have exercised my ability to network by bringing in new young women every week, reaching out to parishes and other groups for support, and encouraging connections for mentorship and counseling opportunities. At one point our group had 20 to 30 participants every week.

I have also had the privilege of being on leadership teams for a social event and a dance event. I have worked on advertising, logistics, and networking for these events. Ensuring that people knew about the event, working with venues and other groups to make spaces, and gathering and delegating teams for the different tasks the day of the event.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I will be a great asset to your team and a positive team player! Please contact me with regards to any questions!
