I am a passionate and dedicated educator with a diverse background in Montessori education, faith-based Pre K, and public elementary education. I am a Washington State certified educator in K–8 with an English Language Learners endorsement and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and Instructional Design, which allows me to thoughtfully blend traditional teaching methods with innovative, student-centered approaches.
As a teacher, I consider myself a “warm demander,” someone who is calm, patient, and supportive, while also holding high expectations for every child. I truly believe that all students are capable of learning and growing, and I find deep joy in helping them build confidence as they discover new skills and ideas.
My love for education is rooted in my love for children, curiosity, and the world around us. Having been raised in the Pacific Northwest and along the West Coast and having completed my graduate studies in an East Coast beach town, I bring a broad appreciation of culture, environment, and lived experiences to my teaching. I enjoy incorporating real-world connections into learning, from nature and outdoor exploration to cultural experiences and global awareness. I am especially passionate about travel and believe it is one of the most powerful ways to learn at any age.
I strive to create a close-knit, nurturing learning environment where children feel safe taking risks, making mistakes, and growing. My goal is to provide personalized, meaningful instruction that helps each child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, while also integrating practical life skills into everyday learning.
As a public educator, I am excited to bring my knowledge and experience into a more individualized setting, partnering closely with families to support their child’s unique needs. I also value the opportunity to learn from my students; their perspectives, experiences, and ideas continuously shape and enrich my teaching.
I am generally available Monday through Friday between 8/9 AM and 4/5 PM, with some flexibility depending on family needs.
